Has Toby Swallowed the Kool-Aid???

While listening to Quinn and Rose the other morning, a caller mentioned this, and curiosity got the best of me. I just had to see what was up.

The caller mentioned that country music star Toby Keith played in Oslo during the celebration of BHO's receipt of the Nobel Peace Prize. I, at first, thought, "This is just a vicious rumor. Toby Keith's music is as American as it gets." Well, dear reader, it's not a rumor. Toby played at a concert to "...celebrate this year's Nobel Peace Prize laureate." (From the official Nobel Peace Prize website)

The event was hosted by Will Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. The concert also saw performances by a myriad of entertainers, including Wyclef Jean and Donna Summer.

Let's face facts. Toby Keith isn't exactly hurting for money, so that can't be the reason he went to Oslo to perform. He did perform his latest single, 'American Ride,' a song that makes one feel patriotic despite all the crap we're dealing with from this president. So what would compel Toby to perform at a concert to celebrate the president who has done more to ruin this country of late than Carter did in four years? I'm still clueless. Anyone have an idea?

I have to say that I'm not sure what the true story is. On one hand, Toby sings America's praises in songs like 'American Ride' and 'Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue' while, on the other hand, praising the man who represents everything America is not. Which is it, Toby? There is no middle ground. You either believe in the principles this country was founded on or you don't. Period.

What Toby and other celebs fail to realize is that I want to be entertained, not given their respective political ideologies. Toby Keith says one thing and, in his actions, does another. What's the word for that? Oh yeah....HYPOCRISY!!!

Maybe I'm reading something into this that isn't there, but it sure seems that Toby Keith needs to pick a side. America or BHO.

Remember Where You Saw It First

Five days after my post tying Obama to the Nobel Committee and offering one possible explanation as to how he won the Peace Prize, I see this came up on American Thinker.

Obama's Nobel Peace Prize: Strange Bedfellows?

Let's get one thing clear from the start. I am NOT a conspiracy nut! Okay...maybe just a little bit. That being said, I got to thinking about the whole Obamarx/Nobel thingy. That prompted me to do a little digging. While NOTHING has been proven here, it does seem somewhat strange and may answer a few questions most people have had about Dear Leader getzing a peace prize.

Before sitting on the Nobel Committee, Thorbjorn Jagland ( photo -- you'll say "jagoff" after reading about this guy) served as Prime Minister of Norway (1996-1997) and Minister of Foreign Affairs (2000-2001). On October 1, Mr. Jagland began his tenure as president of the Council of Europe. This group has what is called "observer status" within the United Nations but is often represented within the UN General Assembly.

The most interesting factoid about Thorbjorn Jagland is that for 10 years, he served as vice-president of Socialist International, a group of liberal organizations who are just to the left of Chairman Mao. This group has "consultative status" within the United Nations.

The agenda of Socialist International? Let's see....the abolition of an "armed peace", meaning that they want no nation to be armed in times of peace (especially "superpowers")...."internationalization of the economy", i.e. one-world currency.... Do I really need to go on? I don't think so.

SI has membership groups from almost every country in the world, including the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). DSA established a group called the Chicago "New Party" (NP) and endorsed BHO in his fledgling political career. In fact, BHO signed a contract with the NP, thereby becoming a member of the DSA by default. Starting to see a connection?

From an archived NewsBusters article:

Yet more proof of Obama's close involvement in the socialist New Party from NewsBusters' Hermano who provided this link to the Chicago Democratic Socialists of American September-October 1995 New Ground 42 edition:

About 50 activists attended the Chicago New Party membership meeting in July. The purpose of the meeting was to update members on local activities and to hear appeals for NP support from four potential political candidates. The NP is being very active in organization building and politics. There are 300 members in Chicago. In order to build an organizational and financial base the NP is sponsoring house parties. Locally it has been successful both fiscally and in building a grassroots base. Nationwide it has resulted in 1000 people committed to monthly contributions. The NP's political strategy is to support progressive candidates in elections only if they have a concrete chance to "win". This has resulted in a winning ratio of 77 of 110 elections. Candidates must be approved via a NP political committee. Once approved, candidates must sign a contract with the NP. The contract mandates that they must have a visible and active relationship with the NP.

The political entourage included Alderman Michael Chandler, William Delgado, chief of staff for State Rep Miguel del Valle, and spokespersons for State Sen. Alice Palmer, Sonya Sanchez, chief of staff for State Sen. Jesse Garcia, who is running for State Rep in Garcia's District; and Barack Obama, chief of staff for State Sen. Alice Palmer. Obama is running for Palmer's vacant seat.

Okay...this is what we have so far. The president of the Nobel Committe is a former vice-president of Socialist International. SI is the global group whose members include the Democratic Socialists of America. The DSA heads the Chicago New Party. Barack Obama is a member of the NP. Got it so far? Good. I'm not done yet.

If you remember, Dear Leader became the first American president to chair the United Nations Security Council and spent some time addressing the General Assembly back in September. Who has "observer status" within the UN but is still represented in the General Assembly? That's right...the Council of Europe. Who took power of the Council of Europe just before the Peace Prize was awarded? Yep. Thorbjorn Jagland, president of the Nobel Committee and global socialist. I could keep going in circles, but my brain would melt.

While all of this seems like a co-inky-dink, I'm not convinced that it is. The global lefties are hell bent on turning the entire world into a frickin' socialist utopia. We've seen this in recent months time and again, and they're poised to strike again in a few weeks in Copenhagen in the name of environmentalism. These are the people BHO has insulated himself with over many years, and you know what they say about birds of a feather...

I love playing Connect-the-Dots!!!!

This Says It All

What's Next?

In light of yesterday's announcement of the Nobel Piece of Shit Prize (h/t to bunni for that phrase!) going to Dear Leader, here are a few predictions I have for other awards.
  • Janet Reno wins the next cycle of "America's Next Top Model"
  • Perez Hilton wins the next season of "Survivor"
  • Roseanne Barr wins a Grammy for her rendition of the national anthem
  • Ahmadinejad wins the next Albert Schweitzer Humanitarian Award
  • Hillary Clinton wins "Playmate of the Year" in 2010
  • Michael Moore wins the next Mr. Universe competition
  • Janeane Garofolo wins the Miss America pageant
  • Chucky Schumer wins the NRA's top honor
  • Nancy Pelosi is beatified by the Pope
  • Kim Jong Il receives "Person of the Year" from the National Press Corps
  • Sheila Jackson Lee gets the highest award possible from the Ku Klux Klan
  • Ted Kennedy gets a posthumous gold medal in swimming from the IOC
  • I win the next Hooters Wet-T-Shirt contest
Hey! If BHO can get the NPP, this stuff COULD happen!

Add your own suggestions in the comments! Have fun, kids.

The Obama Prize: My Thoughts

What a frickin' way to start the morning. I wake up, boot up, and, before I can even get a cup of cappuccino, read on foxnews.com that BHO has won the Nobel Peace Prize. Needless to say, I've been on the warpath ever since. I actually have a headache.

The committee's reason for conferring this on Dear Leader? His efforts in trying to make this a nuclear weapon-free planet. They couldn't be more wrong.

BHO doesn't want a nuclear-free world. The truth is, he just wants US to be nuclear-free in our defense. Mark my words. Within a few years (if not sooner), certain things may happen.
  • Iran will have an arsenal of nuclear bombs and may even strike Israel.
  • Venezuela will develop a nuke. Chavez has been in talks with the Russians in order to garner their help.
  • North Korea will most likely make a push into South Korea.
  • China could potentially retake Taiwan.
  • The Taliban and Al Qaeda will increase the number of attacks both here and abroad.
  • Increased attacks on non-Muslims worldwide, especially Christians.
Obama was nominated only shortly after taking office in order to meet the February 1 deadline. What could he do in 11 days that would make him worthy of this award? Does ANYONE have an answer? Prior to his election, all he did was associate himself with terrorists and ACORN. How the hell does this get him the Peace Prize?

Here is a list of winners (or, IMO, losers for the most part) who have taken the Peace Prize since 1980.

2009: U.S. President Barack Obama

— 2008: Martti Ahtisaari

— 2007: Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Al Gore (The planet has a fever!)

— 2006: Muhammad Yunus, Grameen Bank

— 2005: International Atomic Energy Agency, Mohamed ElBaradei (Nuclear Iran? Keep moving folks. There's nothing to see here...)

— 2004: Wangari Maathai

— 2003: Shirin Ebadi

— 2002: Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter (Thanks for helping North Korea develop a nuke, Jimmy!)

— 2001: United Nations, Kofi Annan (Oil for Food Scandal, anyone?)

— 2000: Kim Dae-jung

— 1999: Medecins Sans Frontieres (Translation: Doctors Without Frontiers)

— 1998: John Hume, David Trimble

— 1997: International Campaign to Ban Landmines, Jody Williams

— 1996: Carlos Filipe Ximenes Belo, Jose Ramos-Horta

— 1995: Joseph Rotblat, Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs

— 1994: Yasser Arafat, Shimon Peres, Yitzhak Rabin (Arafat...now there was a real peace-loving guy!)

— 1993: Nelson Mandela, F.W. de Klerk (I could be wrong, but I do believe the committee has been renamed after Mandela)

— 1992: Rigoberta Menchu Tum

— 1991: Aung San Suu Kyi

— 1990: Mikhail Gorbachev (He won only after Reagan forced the guy to embrace a more peaceful diplomatic approach.)

— 1989: The 14th Dalai Lama

— 1988: U.N. Peacekeeping Forces (Yeah. Someone please remind me: How many UN abuse allegations have there been?)

— 1987: Oscar Arias Sanchez

— 1986: Elie Wiesel (This guy survived the concentration camps of WWII. Wonder if he sees any parallels to what's going on in today's world.)

— 1985: International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War

— 1984: Desmond Tutu

— 1983: Lech Walesa (Became president of Poland in the 90's; Bet he's real happy about how BHO has screwed Poland.)

— 1982: Alva Myrdal, Alfonso Garcia Robles

— 1981: Office of the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees

— 1980: Adolfo Perez Esquivel

The Nobel committee has become a joke. What was once a distinguished honor has now given the world cause to ask "WTF?" This is like giving Josef Mengele a posthumous Nobel Prize for Medicine for his research work.

We are living in the most dangerous times I've seen in my 43 years on this earth. We have gone from a world superpower to the laughing stock of the world in the past 30 years alone. For the Nobel committee to reward BHO for performing a little fellatio on the likes of A-jad, Chavez, and other oppressive leaders from numerous other countries speaks volumes as to just where their ideologies lie.
