Pineapple Princess Jeered in Houston

Jen B at Ridgefield Tea Party March 21, '09

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D) was met outside a Houston venue Friday night by approximately 600 Tea Party protesters. Pelosi was in Houston to give an onstage interview at the Wortham Center. The event was sponsored by the Progressive Forum (naturally) whose members paid $19 to $144 to attend.

“Turn back while you still have the chance! Don’t support the liar!” Doug Audirsch, of Porter, shouted while hoisting a sign over his head that called for “Less 1984 — More 1776.” He was one of many who jeered those attending the event. Another protestor was dressed in a Wonder Woman bustier holding a sign that read "I'm the ProLife gun toting Consitutionalist the D.H.S. warned you about."

American citizens have had enough, and Tea Parties are just the beginning. When protests fail to produce results, history has demonstrated what could be our future. Where will you stand?
