As I Was Waiting...

Today marks a milestone for me; I went for my first mammogram. A couple of years past when I should've had one done, but...

As I was waiting in the outpatient registration area (which was quite busy) reading my copy of "Catastrophe" by Dick Morris, I took brief glances of those who were there with me and thought: "Do these people realize just how good they have it?"

The young, pregnant woman waiting for a sonogram with her husband and young son probably never gave it a thought that under Obamacare, what is now a routine procedure for pregnant women might become a luxury. That is, of course, if the baby isn't born while waiting for one. Did she also think about what would happen if, Heaven forbid, something would be wrong with her baby while in utero? The left would say that it wouldn't be very cost effective to operate on a child who may tax resources once they make it into this world. And once a sickly child is born, who is going to decide whether that life is worthy of living? If you said a government wonk, move to the head of the class.

Many elderly people were also there for various tests. Did it ever occur to them that instead of going for testing, under Obamacare, they'd be going for "End of Life Counseling"? Yes, the elderly do require more healthcare as they age, but, again, who is going to make that decision? I don't think it should be the decision of a bureaucrat, but that will be the case should this crap be signed into law.

Many people around me were grumbling about the wait. I wanted to stand up and scream "You think you have to wait NOW, just watch what happens if we're forced to live with Obamacare!" Of course, being in Pennsylvania, speaking out against a Democrat is considered blasphemy.

I wonder sometimes if people just bury their heads in the sand because the truth is so ugly. Ignoring a problem isn't the solution. Some may find that out the hard way along with those of us who saw this coming. I urge every one of you to keep on your representatives in Congress and make sure they hear you loud and clear!!!

I wish we were able to hear the thoughts of people around us and be able to say to them, SAY NO TO OBAMACARE. That's what I feel like when I've been in the doctor's waiting room lately. It would be the perfect place to start up a debate. You are correct.I hope these procedures do not become luxuries because they are NOT LUXURIES BUT NECESSITIES.
I live by a bunch of libs who can't understand why I'm a Republican and constantly make jabs at my beliefs. I believe that every life is precious from the unborn to the elderly and they don't. They don't understand about the slippery slope concept and it being Hitleressque the way they devalue life.

Teresa: Half my family and in-laws are libs, and even they take jabs at my conservative views. I guess it's a lib thing.

I, too, believe in the sanctity of INNOCENT life. Some argue that you can't be pro-life and support the death penalty. I disagree with them. Using the death penalty and defending the unborn puts a value on human life. That's something that, unforturnately, has been lost in recent times.

Hope you had a great weekend!!!

Spot on girl..they are so ridiculously ignorant as well ..all they have are talking points they get from THE VIEW!..heh (good luck!)

Angel: The View is one show that I would loooovvveee to see yanked off the air. And Joy Behar??? That mouth needs a hook in it.

Isn't it sad just how ignorant some people like to stay? Life may be simpler in their world, but they are part of the reason today's society is the way it is.

Ignorance isn't bliss; it's counterproductive.

What's really funny is the socialists will be the first to complain when they're denied care, or have to wait 9 months for a test that, done promptly and routinely, could mean the difference at month 1 or 2 between them living and at month 9 being diagnosed terminal.

Oh, yes...they will.

As a member of the medical community, you'd know better than anyone, Dr. Dave!

They wanted hope and change, and now we're ALL gonna pay. Some with their lives.

Hi B & G Fan:
First let me say I LOVE your new Blog Look! It really showcases your sparkling, patriotic personality! And the middle part, white background, very neat and clean looking. The title box is adorable too! I'm gad you experimented and found something very unique! And, it looks Spectacular on my big 24" HD dell monitor! I can make it huge, which is easy on my eyes now.

You are such a right thinking person...to think you're in the doctors office having a painful and worrisome procedure done, and you are thinking about others and how awfully they (and we all) will fare under "ObamaCare". Everything you wrote is the God's truth, and will come to pass and be worse! These lib morons can't even run the cash for clunkers, and the gov't couldn't even run a whorehouse that served booze back when they took over that brothel! They make me sick!

Don't feel bad, Teresa, and B & G too, the awful people I work with worship obummer and are the meanest, most deluded nuts around. They hate me for many other reasons, but knowing I'm against the current pResident and all liberals is icing on the cake. I don't even talk to them, just, hello, goodbye, and when I have to tell them for the 100th time the proper procedure on some business thing. They suck and this government sucks! I truly hope and pray this doesn't get passed, or we might as well start buying our burial plots.

It is a crying shame that this group of crooked thieves got into office. The main guy is just an empty suit that can not function with out someone telling him what to say! Teleprompter. Look for something else to be slid in under the cover of darkness while health care is being pushed in our faces! These people are EVIL!

Bunni: Screw your co-workers...WE LOVE YOU! :-)
Thanks for your opinion, hon. I get bored easily, and two months with the old layout was enough.

Mango: Flooding the people with so many issues that one can't pay attention to them all is classic Alinsky. Beck had a great way to combat this. Pick one thing and stick to it. You may be interested in and good at digging up healthcare issues, while my issue may be government waste. By keeping each other informed, we are covering all the bases so nothing can get in under the radar.

Teresa: I'm glad you brought up the point of how the left will gladly kill the unborn while defending murdering scum. It's a point I missed. Thanks!

Wow, you are so right. My recent family illness experiences have brought to light, to my attention the same concerns and details. I love this post! Also, your new format is muy bueno.....keep up the strong voice!
