One if by Land

During the Revolutionary War, the signal of "One if by land; two if by sea" was used to let the Freedom Fighters know from which route the British were coming. Lanterns hung in the Old North Church in Boston spread the message.

In recent months, the seeds of revolution have started to take root. We are facing an enemy from within who has no regard for the sacred document bestowing equal rights on every American from the billionaire to the homeless person on the street.

My suggestion is simple. Since we know that the enemy is coming by land via Washington DC, why not put a single light near the busiest thoroughfare near you. I plan on buying a $4 solar light from Wal-Mart and putting it on the hillside near my driveway. I live on the main artery that leads directly to a ski resort. If you live in the city, get one and put it near the front of your house or on the lawn's edge near the sidewalk. For those of you in apartments, a single light-bulb candle in one window will do.

Consider it a symbolic message to let people know that the enemy is coming by land.

I will get my light as well. I think there is a black ribbon campaign too started by the tea party movement.

I will definitely check that out. Thanks, Clay!

I think I need to get a BIG spool of black ribbon - and some lights.

LL: I agree. The only issue I have with the black ribbon (as I think about it more) is that there's still hope. To me, a black ribbon would signify death, and I'm just not that ready to mourn the loss of the Constitution. Maybe I'm wrong. I'm gonna keep thinking about it.
