Scotland Not Alone

While a lot of stink has been made (and rightfully so) about the release of a Libyan terrorist convicted of killing 270 people from a Scottish prison, there is another incident of terrorists being released from prison.

On January 22, 2009, Barack Hussein Obama signed an executive order ordering the closing of the Guantanamo Bay facility in Cuba. Many enemy combatants against the United States were housed in this facility. All the while, they were given culturally-appropriate meals, Korans, and, from some reports, were interrogated in La-Z-Boy recliners. Really harsh stuff.

Gordon Brown and company have come under fire for releasing the terrorist who had bombed PanAm Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. Abdel Baset al-Megrahi was released from a Scottish prison after Libya paid for evidence that the scumbag only had three months to live according to The Sunday Telegraph via foxnews.com. Why hasn't as much stink been made about Obama's decision to spring those who wish the death of the west?

While the MSM is complicit in the spin on this, there should be just as much outrage over the decision of BHO to close Club Gitmo. These scum didn't deserve to be at Gitmo to begin with. They should've been held in a dark frickin' hole somewhere in the Alaskan wilderness. Better yet, they should've been handed over to Sheriff Joe Arpaio for housing (I love that man!).

Libyan leader Qaddafi has been excoriated in the media while BHO has gotten a complete pass. Both are terrorist sympathizers and supporters, yet the fact that the leader of the greatest nation on the face of the earth is on a par with a banana republic dictator seems to go unnoticed. Why has the outrage faded? Have we become so jaded in the ways of Obama that we just don't find it as big of a deal as the incident with al-Megrahi? Does Obama have that much of a hold over the people that they're willing to hold him to another standard than Qaddafi? It makes no sense to me.

While details of the Scottish/Libyan connection continue to come to the surface, we should remember that Gordon Brown wasn't the first leader to release terrorists. The outrage needs to come back.

Obie must be smiling his best Wagyu-beef-eatin' smile now that his bestest buddies Mahmoud and Hugo are chillin' together for the weekend.

Steve: He's probably got surveillance cameras with a live feed back to the White House. It's his idea of porn.

I vote for the Sheriff Joe treatment. I live in his county, and I vote for him without question. He's what law enforcement should really be all about!!

BTW - WooHoo! Van Jones a goner...

That gets my vote too, Soloman. He takes no shit from the wonks. And he understands whose rights REALLY need to be respected!

I've been smiling all day over the whole Van Jones thing. The rest of that scumbag administration needs to follow suit.
