What a frickin' way to start the morning. I wake up, boot up, and, before I can even get a cup of cappuccino, read on foxnews.com that BHO has won the Nobel Peace Prize. Needless to say, I've been on the warpath ever since. I actually have a headache.
The committee's reason for conferring this on Dear Leader? His efforts in trying to make this a nuclear weapon-free planet. They couldn't be more wrong.
BHO doesn't want a nuclear-free world. The truth is, he just wants US to be nuclear-free in our defense. Mark my words. Within a few years (if not sooner), certain things may happen.
- Iran will have an arsenal of nuclear bombs and may even strike Israel.
- Venezuela will develop a nuke. Chavez has been in talks with the Russians in order to garner their help.
- North Korea will most likely make a push into South Korea.
- China could potentially retake Taiwan.
- The Taliban and Al Qaeda will increase the number of attacks both here and abroad.
- Increased attacks on non-Muslims worldwide, especially Christians.
Here is a list of winners (or, IMO, losers for the most part) who have taken the Peace Prize since 1980.
2009: U.S. President Barack Obama
— 2008: Martti Ahtisaari
— 2007: Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Al Gore (The planet has a fever!)
— 2006: Muhammad Yunus, Grameen Bank
— 2005: International Atomic Energy Agency, Mohamed ElBaradei (Nuclear Iran? Keep moving folks. There's nothing to see here...)
— 2004: Wangari Maathai
— 2003: Shirin Ebadi
— 2002: Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter (Thanks for helping North Korea develop a nuke, Jimmy!)
— 2001: United Nations, Kofi Annan (Oil for Food Scandal, anyone?)
— 2000: Kim Dae-jung
— 1999: Medecins Sans Frontieres (Translation: Doctors Without Frontiers)
— 1998: John Hume, David Trimble
— 1997: International Campaign to Ban Landmines, Jody Williams
— 1996: Carlos Filipe Ximenes Belo, Jose Ramos-Horta
— 1995: Joseph Rotblat, Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs
— 1994: Yasser Arafat, Shimon Peres, Yitzhak Rabin (Arafat...now there was a real peace-loving guy!)
— 1993: Nelson Mandela, F.W. de Klerk (I could be wrong, but I do believe the committee has been renamed after Mandela)
— 1992: Rigoberta Menchu Tum
— 1991: Aung San Suu Kyi
— 1990: Mikhail Gorbachev (He won only after Reagan forced the guy to embrace a more peaceful diplomatic approach.)
— 1989: The 14th Dalai Lama
— 1988: U.N. Peacekeeping Forces (Yeah. Someone please remind me: How many UN abuse allegations have there been?)
— 1987: Oscar Arias Sanchez
— 1986: Elie Wiesel (This guy survived the concentration camps of WWII. Wonder if he sees any parallels to what's going on in today's world.)
— 1985: International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War
— 1984: Desmond Tutu
— 1983: Lech Walesa (Became president of Poland in the 90's; Bet he's real happy about how BHO has screwed Poland.)
— 1982: Alva Myrdal, Alfonso Garcia Robles
— 1981: Office of the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees
— 1980: Adolfo Perez Esquivel
The Nobel committee has become a joke. What was once a distinguished honor has now given the world cause to ask "WTF?" This is like giving Josef Mengele a posthumous Nobel Prize for Medicine for his research work.We are living in the most dangerous times I've seen in my 43 years on this earth. We have gone from a world superpower to the laughing stock of the world in the past 30 years alone. For the Nobel committee to reward BHO for performing a little fellatio on the likes of A-jad, Chavez, and other oppressive leaders from numerous other countries speaks volumes as to just where their ideologies lie.

What better award for the new world's proclaimed "prince of peace".
Is it now "all hail" or how I feel... "oh hell"?
"Oh hell" gets my vote, Rattler!
W.T.F.????
That's the first thing I said when I turned on the TV this am from my cozy bed. I thought, "great, another nightmare", surely we are being punked again.
Guess they'll have to rename it the Nobel Piece (of shit) Prize. The Chicago fix was in, like you pointed out...11 days after contaminating the wh with his commie cooties! Lord Help us!
When I do a post later, I'll link to here, B & G! Interesting list of "losers" you put up scumbags all.
Check out Chris's blog. He reposted the Axis of idiots post for me so let's stop by his blog and welcome him to the club.http://chrisgworld.blogspot.com/
Alli Babba!
2012 can't come soon enough, and I am talking from the Mayan perspective--not the American electorate.
Thanks Bunni!! You have such a way with words! :-D
Andrew: will do!
BB: Glad to see you about, brotha!
I'm not sure if I like the idea of the 2012 Mayan scenario.
Here's a question I have yet to be answered: If the Mayans could predict the end of the world in 2012, why couldn't the predict the downfall of their own civilizaiton??
:-)
What a crock of utter shit this decision is. Walesa himself said Obama had done nothing to deserve the award. Obama should save face and decline the award. He got it for his campaign speeches, for the idea of hope and change, not for any real goodness or deeds.
Dr. Dave: He won't decline. He's way too arrogant. What a jagoff!
The Peace Prize now comes in a box of Cracker-Jacks! That lucky jerk just bought the right box!
Very well put, Matt!
