Troy Polamalu: Back in Action

It seems that after a long five weeks, Steeler safety Troy Polamalu will most likely play in tomorrow's game against Cleveland.

Polamalu has been sidelined since Pittsburgh's first game of the season on September 10. During the game against the Tennessee Titans, Troy suffered a hyperextended knee, resulting in a sprained PCL. Since his absence, Pittsburgh has been missing a key player in their defensive game, and the team has struggled to maintain a defense that in some circles has been seen as the "Steel Curtain II."

Polamalu has risen to fame not only for his amazing ability to cover the opponent and make what seem to be impossible plays, but for his hair. That's right. His hair. It's become yet another symbol of today's Steeler Nation. Every football fan across the country recognizes Troy by his hair alone. I know of more than one woman in this area who would just LOVE to run their fingers through that flowing mane (Yes Mom. I'm talking about you.).

Welcome back, Troy! We missed you terribly!!

To all yinz Browns fans: BEWARE THE HAIR!!!!

I hope you will give me quarter for posting on your blog...it has been a LONG, LONG time for us Bengal diehards. (And bandwagon Bengals' fans make me quite ill...)

See you Novemeber 15th...

Okay, lady.. too much beefcake in that there pic for us men...

in the mean time - How 'bout them 5-0 Broncos! I don't know if I've mentioned it to you, but I'm a die-hard fan, since I lived there in the mid 70's, when I was about mid-sized.. lol..

And while I grew up (from age 11) in Cleveland and they're my second team (but falling to the Cardinals quickly) I recognize the Steelers' wrath will undoubtedly come upon the Brownies tomorrow.

For your sake, I hope he makes the difference in whatever funk they've been in. I know it's tough when your team is a perennial winner and then they suddenly slide a bit.

However... Monday, November 9th... mark your calendar with a loss now and get it over with... lol :)~

BB: She absolutely LOVES Troy. I had to stop and tell her to look when she comes home from work 'cuz this went up after she left. She may take up smoking again. ;-)

Sue: No problem. It's gonna be very interesting to see how the Bungles I mean BENGALS fare on 11/17. It was a close one last time, but we were without the man who is arguably the best safety in the NFL. I do hope that it's another good game, and good luck to yinz until then. :-)

Soloman: Sometimes, it's just all about us women. And DAMN does that pic look nice!

The Broncs are cool. Not as cool since Elway retired, but...

Sorry to hear about having to live in Cleveland. In all honesty, though, I can't wait to go there in March to chaperone my son's field trip to the R & R HOF. I may wear a tank just to show my tattoo. lol

November 9...the night Denver gets spanked on national television. ;-)

I'm with Solomon...I didn't need to see the abs...but I DO want to see him pound some Brownies into the ground (and some Bungles on 11/15, Sue).

Dr. Dave: I told my mom I'd like to throw that into a hot tub full of bubbles and use those abs to do my laundry.

Can't wait for game time!!!
