Applebee's Restaurants: Honoring Vets
As I listened to Quinn & Rose this morning, I heard some wonderful news. Applebee's Restaurants will be treating vets to dinner at their restaurants next Wednesday, November 11, which is Veteran's Day. All you have to do is show proof of your service. For more information, go to http://www.applebees.com/vetsDay/default.aspx. Businesses that go to that length to thank our veterans deserve our patronage.

Does a DD214 work?
BB: To the best of my knowledge, any form of military ID will work. I told my stepdad to use his VA card. I'd check Applebee's site or call to make sure.
Gal:
Noor Almaleki has died.
Pam has the update here.
If you have a drop box or email, I'll send such updates as I see them.
That's a great thing for Applebee's to do. More restaurants should do this type of thing, but not just because it is Veterans Day.
I used to work in restaurants, so I am aware that Cops usually dine free or at a huge discount (half-off or more). That's a great thing.. they risk it for us daily, and might even have to get up and leave that meal to serve.
You would think there could be a standard percentage - even 10% - given to Veterans as a standard in the industry. Maybe we need to blog loudly about it...
Ran: I saw that, hon. I plan on honoring her tomorrow. May all the angels of Heaven keep her company. So very sad.
I've been keeping up on Noor's story too, and posted about it with a factual news story followed by an editor's note tonight.
Wow, that's very nice of them.
God Bless our Veterans, they should be honored and remembered every day.
I saw the sign at Applebee's advertising this. Very nice way to pay tribute to our heroes.
Soloman: I just read and commented at your site about Noor. Very well-written piece.
And I agree with you on the point that businesses need to show their support of our brave soldiers by putting their money where their mouth is.
WTG Applebee's!!!
Bunni: Rest assured that our vets are remembered here always. They'll never be forgotten.
TCL: I agree 1000% with ya.
