Prayer Emergency: An Update

A short while back, I asked my readers to pray for "Abigail", 19, a niece of one of my dearest friends who was just diagnosed with stage IV cervical cancer that had spread to her liver. I'm pleased to report that my friend told me today "Abigail's" last pap smear came back with no trace of cancer. She still has a very small spot on her liver, and she's going to start chemotherapy in hopes of getting rid of it. Worst case scenario: the doctors will remove that very tiny part of her liver.

I believe in miracles and the power of prayer. I cried and thanked God over and over again for touching this young girl with His healing hands. While He will get all the glory (and rightfully so), I'd like to thank everyone out there who said a prayer, lit a candle, or just wished nothing but the best for "Abigail". I can't tell you how much it means to me.

In that post, I also asked that you pray for "Martha", the mom of a close friend of mine who is waging her own battle with cancer. Please continue to pray for her and for her family as I haven't had any recent updates. Pray that God puts his loving arms around all of them and gives them the strength to deal with this. I truly appreciate it.

I hope we can go 2 for 2 on this!!! May God bless each and every one of you.

Thank you,

I am so Happy for Abigail! Praise be to GOD for his healing touch. By his stripes we are healed.

Bless you also, Bunni. What a great gift I've been given to be able to rally so many people in prayer for those who are in need. I gave praise all day long for His miraculous wonder.

I told my aunt about Abigail when I first asked for prayer for her and Martha because she works at a cancer center in Tampa. She said Stage IV is pretty much just getting your affairs in order. I called her this evening to tell her about Abigail, and she also believes it was a miracle. My hubby kinda dismissed it as a mixup in the lab, but I believe God has something greater planned for that girl.

I'll make sure Martha knows you're praying for her, too. She's good people.

I will go tell my whole family!

They were so very and warmly concerned with her health. I believe it would be met with wide fanfare that we may, in some slight way, have contributed to her recovery.

Tell her to get well soon from me, okay?

I will Young.

Tell your parents they've done an awesome job of raising you. Sad to say that you are not the "normal" child of today's world. Be proud of that!

You are too kind, you squirrel nut! lol

Isn't it great how God sees to our needs? I mean, here are two good women dealing with adversity, and God, I believe, has called us to give them support and prayer. He truly is awesome!

May he continue to bless you as well, Bunni!!
