Racism: It's Not Just for the Klan Anymore

Foxnews.com is reporting that the Number 3 official at the Justice Department, Associate Attorney General Thomas J. Perrelli, approved the reversal of a civil complaint filed against the New Black Panther Party and three of its members.

From the Washington Times:

EXCLUSIVE: No. 3 at Justice OK'd Panther reversal

Case involved polling place in Philadelphia

EXCLUSIVE:

Associate Attorney General Thomas J. Perrelli, the No. 3 official in the Obama Justice Department, was consulted and ultimately approved a decision in May to reverse course and drop a civil complaint accusing three members of the New Black Panther Party of intimidating voters in Philadelphia during November's election, according to interviews.

The department's career lawyers in the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division who pursued the complaint for five months had recommended that Justice seek sanctions against the party and three of its members after the government had already won a default judgment in federal court against the men.

Front-line lawyers were in the final stages of completing that work when they were unexpectedly told by their superiors in late April to seek a delay after a meeting between political appointees and career supervisors, according to federal records and interviews.

The delay was ordered by then-acting Assistant Attorney General Loretta King after she discussed with Mr. Perrelli concerns about the case during one of their regular review meetings, according to the interviews.

Ms. King, a career senior executive service official, had been named by President Obama in January to temporarily fill the vacant political position of assistant attorney general for civil rights while a permanent choice could be made.

She and other career supervisors ultimately recommended dropping the case against two of the men and the party and seeking a restraining order against the one man who wielded a nightstick at the Philadelphia polling place. Mr. Perrelli approved that plan, officials said.

Let's play the hypothetical situation here. Suppose that the Ku Klux Klan (of whom I do NOT agree with) had done this. The usual race-card playing characters would've been all over this. I'm now including Dear Leader in that group. He has done just as much to keep racism in this country alive as racists of either color.

Are there those in this country who are racist? Yep. But it seems like the only racism ever pointed out is that of whites. There are blacks who are equally racist, but they are always being defended by the "compassionate left". WRONG KNOWS NO COLOR!!!

We have blacks in this country calling for separate dorms on colleges, separate this and separate that, yet no one bothers to point out their racism. Why? Oh...I forgot. This is retribution to the white population for all the years of oppression. It makes me sick to hear racial superiority from EITHER race, but it sickens me more to see the double standard that has come into play.

During the Ruby Ridge incident, Randy Weaver was lambasted for being a white separatist. Why are those in the black community not held to the same standard? There are many neighborhoods in this country where whites are not welcome and risk bodily harm should they accidently find themselves in such neighborhoods. But let a predominantly white neighborhood treat blacks the same way, and you've got yourself a race riot with Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton leading the troops. Why?

We have the Miss America and Miss USA pageants, both of which blacks are allowed to compete (as well they should). Why is there the need, then, for a Miss Black USA or Miss Black America pageant where whites are NOT allowed to compete? It's not right.

The double standard needs to be fought against. Those who believe in right and wrong are color-blind, and we should not be intimidated into sitting idly by while the left continues to divide.

Let's face it, the Black Panthers are ACORN's own police force. They were there to enforce the Obama vote and intimidate others to stay away. It's no wonder this has been pushed under the rug by the Obama justice department.

Would somebody PLEASE send me a race card? I've asked several bloggers and I check the mail daily, but -- no joy. I promise to use it all the time:
*If I'm stopped by the police.
*When the lines at the grocery store are long.
*When items cost more than my means allows.
*When I owe ANY bill.

Let's even the playing field - I need a race card.

Clay: I agree. Obama wants the full support of the NBPP but doesn't want anyone else to know.

LL: Sorry about the card. Maybe if you ask Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton REALLY NICELY they'll give you one! :-)
