A Mother's Pride
Last night at work, I was out back for a quick cig break, so I pulled out my cell phone and was going to tell my cherubs at home "good night." I noticed that I had one missed call from my Limbaugh baby, and immediately worried that something was wrong as he's away at college. When he answered the phone, my fears were put to rest.
It seems that yesterday, he and his fellow senior project teammates met with the head of the IT department of the campus (They're comp sci majors). Also in attendance was the professor guiding and advising them on their goal of creating an iphone app to be used specifically for the college.
The head of the IT department informed them that they are one of the strongest senior project teams that have graced the college in quite a while and that the college is going to heavily promote their idea, even going so far as to spend the money to make sure that every inch of the campus is accessible to wi-fi.
Should their endeavor take off successfully, the possibility of future employment by the university is there, and these hard-working, brilliant students would most likely have first crack at it.
To my Limbaugh baby, Jesse, and Terry: Congratulations from the bottom of my heart. The three of you are examples of what other students should aspire to be, and I couldn't be any more proud. Stay focused and continue your hard work. It WILL pay off!
I love you, mijo!!!

I'm bustin' my buttons here, pal!!!
Ah, proud mama ...
He makes it easy, Odie. It's a shame that more kids of his generation can't be more like him and his team. I'd have more hope for humanity.
Way to guy for the genius!
Him or the genius who gave birth to him? lol
Congrats!
A mother can never be too proud of her offspring.
Truly a wonderful opportunity. Looks like Mom did something RIGHT!
Thanks Sue! He made it easy. A really great kid.
Awesome! Proof that hard work pays off.
He has done exactly that, Teresa. I'm just tickled pink over the whole thing.
