Next year, Americans will be asked to complete and return the census to Big Brother, I mean the government. While compliance with the census is required by law, do we really want certain agencies having our sensitive information?
The purpose of the census is to have a count of American citizens in order to determine congressional districts. That being said, I will be responding to the census with the number of people who live in this household. That's it. Anything beyond that is none of the government's business. That's exactly how we handled it during the last census, and that's how it'll be handled as long as I'm alive.
Biggovernment.com has listed some of the groups that have enlisted their services in helping the government carry out the task of the census. I'm not sure I'd give these groups the time of day let alone any personal information. I'll add any of my comments in bold.
- AARP (They'll be there to scare old folks into giving up their personal info.)
- A. Phillip Randolph Institute (Black trade union who pushes for equality in the workplace. Translation: Affirmative Action)
- AFL-CIO (Big labor organization. Not a pretty bunch.)
- American Federation of Government Employees (These people can kiss my grits!)
- AFSCME (Big Obama-supporting group of flaming liberals)
- American Federation of Teachers
- Coalition of Labor Union Women (Women's labor union who mourned the loss of Ted Kennedy. Bunch of feministas.)
- Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (A union whose mission is to help carry out Obama's vision for this country.)
- Community Action Partnership (Huge group of community activists who work to end poverty. How about letting us keep more of our tax money?)
- Families USA (Big healthcare reform advocates)
- International Brotherhood of Teamsters (Yeah, I want the Mafia coming to my home asking personal questions. Maybe they'll find Hoffa in their quest for info on average Americans.)
- Labor Council for the Latin American Advancement (Advancement of what, hmmm?)
- League of Women Voters of the United States (More women who wish to abolish the traditional role of women in society. More feministas.)
- National Black Justice Coalition (Define "black justice." How does this differ from justice under the law?)
- National Council of La Raza (But no illegals will be counted, right?)
- National Education Association (Heaven help them if they sic their teachers on my kid in retaliation for my refusing to answer their questions.)
- Pride at Work (AFL-CIO affiliated group pushing for LGBT rights in the workplace.)
- Rainbow Push Coalition (Jesse Jackson...call your office.)
- Service Employees International Union (ACORN's sister organization in crime)
- Southern Coalition for Social Justice

From what I've read, ACORN is being taken off the job of helping with the census. This may have changed recently, but the SEIU will be there to pick up the slack.
In reading the list of organizations who have signed on to help count citizens, ask yourself if you will want representatives from these unions and left-leaning organizations in your home asking personal questions such as your income, whether you own guns, and whether everyone in the household has medical insurance. I, for one, sure as hell don't. They'll be met at the gate by myself, our pit bull, Zeus, and Ms. Lady Smith. They'll get one number. Session over.
What do you think the reaction would be if the NRA would be on this list?
