More Help for China

Let's see. In the past few months, the White House has flown the Chinese flag, the Empire State Building lit up in red and yellow, and now the Director of Communications at 1600 has declared that Chairman Mao is her favorite philosopher. Anyone see a pattern? If you don't, you're blind. If you do see a pattern, this will make you sick.

According to the Washington Times, the authority to sell weapons and space technology to China has been handed off from the White House to the Commerce Department. Critics of the move say that this will loosen the export controls and that China may ultimately benefit. Gee...YA THINK??? BHO doesn't do anything unless he or our enemies benefit.

Obamarx issued a "presidential determination" on September 29 that gives authority to approve the transfer of space and missile technology to Commerce Secretary Gary Locke (photo), the only Chinese-American (third generation) to hold the position of governor within this country.

Eugene Cottilli, a spokesman for Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security, said under new policy the U.S. government will rigorously monitor all sensitive exports to China. Does anyone truly believe this? Yours truly sure as hell does not. They'll be watching, all right. They'll be watching that the American people don't catch wind of what they're up to.

Why is Dear Leader doing this? Well listen, my children, and you shall hear. It's a bit of a history lesson, but it helps make sense of this debacle.

In the late 1990's, there was a scandal involving Space Systems/Loral and Hughes Electronics Corp., two companies who were found to have shared technology with the Chinese that helped China develop a long-range missile system. The companies were fined $20 million and $32 million, respectively, by the State Department.

On the heels of that scandal, Congress passed a law in 1999 that requires the president to certify in advance that any exported technology to China will not harm the U.S. space-launch program and that "missile equipment or technology, including any indirect technical benefit that could be derived from such export, will not measurably improve the missile or space launch capabilities of the People's Republic of China." (Section 1512 of the law)

So let me see if I got this straight. BHO transferred the power to export missile technology to the Commerce Secretary, thereby skirting the law and freeing himself from all political culpability. Sound about right? I hope so. Haven't had coffee yet.

While I understand that right now China holds the notes on part of our national debt and that poses a serious problem, at what point will our defense be compromised? It sounds like extortion. Either we give the Chinese what they want, or they call in the loans. Yep. Definitely sounds like blackmail.

The Constitution defines "treason" as giving AID (and not humanitarian aid) and comfort to the enemy. While I'm no Constitutional expert, how does this not fit the definition of "treason?" And how much further into bed is Dear Leader going to crawl when it comes to China? At the rate he's going, BHO is going to make the Clinton relationships with John Huang and Charlie Tree look like child's play.

Screw impeachment. I say go for the jugular: treason.

Marines Snubbed on Birthday

By now, it is a known fact that the Empire State Building was lit up to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the formation of Communist China. God help this country.

Last year, the Marine Corps had asked that the landmark be lit up in scarlet and gold on November 10 to honor the 233rd birthday of the Corps. They were flat-out told no. But yet it'll be lit up for the same kind of ideology the Corps has fought against for so long??? The world has turned upside down.

Also last year, the building changed its colors to honor such occasions as The Cat Fancier's Association's Cat Championship, the release of Mariah Carey's album, and the 58th anniversary of the European Union. Why not for the Marine Corps?

Building officials said an anniversary as obscure as a 233rd doesn't meet their "standard" for lighting events. An album release or a cat convention does? What the hell is wrong with this picture?

For the owners and administrators of the Empire State Building to disrespect this country and the Marine Corps like this is outrageous. Not only is it unpatriotic, but I would add that it borders on giving comfort to potential enemies. I guess they figure if the White House will fly the Chinese flag, then lighting a tower must be the right thing to do.

I recently commented that I'd like to visit New York City once in my life. With all the crap happening there from this incident to wanting to ban smoking outside, I won't be taking a bite of the Big Apple. I'll spend my tourist dollars elsewhere... like Cleveland.

China's Flag to Fly at White House

From worldnetdaily.com comes the news that the Communist Chinese flag will fly over the south lawn of the White House on September 20 during a ceremony to mark the anniversary of the formation of the People's Republic. The original story comes from the Global Times English-edition.

"The ceremony has gotten official approval," Xiao Shuigen, secretary of the Union of Chinese American Professional Organizations, told the Times.

It's bad enough that we've had Dear Leader embracing those in the Islamic world who want us dead. Now, he's revealing another facet of his Communist upbringing in allowing this to happen. Imagine how empowered the Communist Chinese will feel when they can announce that they've succeeded in getting their flag to fly at the White House. A shameful disgrace is exactly what this is.

Van Jones is probably giddy with laughter over all of this. An avowed Communist, Jones has recently come under serious scrutiny for his Marxist and often anti-American views. Hell, he's probably having multiple orgasms over the prospect of his fellow comrades coming to the White House. How much more un-American can this administration get?

Let's think about this. We had the Clinton administration kowtowing to the Chinese in return for campaign contributions. John Huang was a campaign fundraiser for the DNC while working in the Commerce Department and was the target of an investigation into violation of campaign finance laws. He pleaded guilty in 1999 to violation of such laws. Did I mention he was a Communist Chinese? Just a little FYI.

Now, fast-forward to present day. We have BHO embracing those around the world who have no respect for our Constitution and what it stands for. In fact, I offer that those same people would be rejoicing and may be helping this administration totally dismantle the one thing that separates this great country from all others. Many of those who have or continue to work for BHO have also expressed an affinity for Che Guevara and Fidel Castro. For this to be allowed on taxpayer soil is a blatant slap in the face of every person who loves this country.

Our sovereignty is slowly being handed over to those who have advocated for total government control over the masses. Allowing China to drill off our shores for oil, praising Castro as the brightest leader alive, and flat-out announcing the love of Communism speaks volumes.

What can one do? I urge EVERY ONE OF YOU to call or email the White House, all members of Congress, and anyone willing to listen and tell them that this is NOT acceptable on any level.

Our time to make a stand is fast approaching.

Remembering Tiananmen Square

Twenty years ago today, Sergeant Pepper taught the band to play. While he was doing this, tanks were rolling through Tiananmen Square in China to quash protests by those crying out for freedom.

It all started when many students and citizens of the Communist Chinese nation decided enough was enough. They protested the brutal government control of speech, religion, and assembly. Rights that we in this country have enjoyed since the birth of this great nation. These brave people were brutally massacred when the government sent tanks to roll through Tiananmen Square to dispel the crowd. The picture of the one lone student staring down the tanks in protest will forever be etched in the memory of those of us who remember the initial crackdown. Hundreds died at the hands of the Chinese military, many were injured, and I'm sure many more were sent away for "reeducation".

Today, the Communist regime has ordered that no protests are to take place and even speaking about the events of twenty years ago is forbidden. No remembrances, no vigils...nothing. The lives of those who died will only be remembered in silence. How far China has come in twenty years.

It makes one wonder just how much government oppression one can take and what action would be taken to guarantee one's right to be free.

Ask yourself one question today: Do I have what it takes to be that one lone student?
