Cap and Trade Earmarks: Big Names and Big Bucks

I started going through the congressionally-directed earmarks in the House Interior and Environment Appropriations passed through the Wacky-Marxist debacle. A lot of names were repeated throughout, so I focused my attention on them. Then, I decided that I'd show what some of the more well-known names in the House got earmarked.

There's really not any particular order to these, but I'll try to get some sort of arrangement going as I type.

If you see a project with an asterisk (*), that means that the earmark was co-sponsored by more than one member of the House. I'm putting the whole dollar amount of the earmark rather than splitting it because I feel that no matter how many co-sponsors there were, they are all equally culpable.

Some members got Congressionally-directed and Presidentially-directed. If the project was Presidentially-directed (that means they kissed Barry's butt), the project will be marked [PD].

And awaaaay we go!!!

Don't you mean "crap and raid"? as that is what those supporting this will do to our economy that is on life support.

I feel your frustration, Joel. This is the most egregious and blatant attempt of Congress to tax our exhaled breath that will probably ever go through the Capitol.

We have a myriad of groups to thank for giving us this administration, and each one is just as culpable as the other for this economy.

I was listening to Rush last week (he had someone filling in; can't remember his name), and the topic was whether Obama voters had buyer's remorse. I almost crapped my pants to hear why some of the callers voted for Barry. One guy actually had the cojones to admit that he voted for BO because he wanted to be a part of history. Isn't EVERY presidential election historical? It's mind-boggling.

What? John Murtha didn't have an earmark for his airport? What's with that? How will it stay open?

They should have to read each and everyone one of their earmarks on national television before voting. It'd make people's ears bleed.

C-Gen: Great idea! Transparency is only what they feel the conservatives should have to do.

John Murtha (OMG,I HATE that he's my rep!)...my mission is to do everything I can to see that he is booted. Too bad Mohammed Atta wasn't his pilot!
I know...pretty harsh. Just sick of him putting his hand in my pocket. That's what I want Hugh Jackman to do! :-D

Check these out over at KOOK's.
Bankrupt America pt. 1 (the Fed)
Bankrupt America (intro)

10 bonus points if you get through pt.1(the Fed) without cussing or breaking something.

Already did, Joel. I had to keep going over what I just read as I was going along. I'm economically-challenged. :-)

You have no idea what the most egregious parts are. I didn't either till this week. I got my hands on reading material that totally blew my mind. Given past drug use and concussions, that is a rare occasion. I will be reposting practically entire book. That book was massive eye opener. We see washington dc from outside. This is inside perspective. The book is old, yet every issue we discuss are discussed and warned about there. This is hardcore, I questioned posting it, but this is too massive a story and yet it makes absolute perfect since. When I am done doing posts, I can make copies if you want to read it for yourself. (I am rewriting it in my own words for several reasons)

Basically, everytime we deposit money in the Fed, it ADDS to the national debt. Then the fed prints more money, charges us for it, then ADDS MORE to the debt. How would you like it if when you deposited a check at the bank, the amount of the check was taken out, with interest? That is the arrangement our government has with people that will be named in later posts. What will really blow your top is those are same people that got BAILOUTS!!!!

Joel: Thanks for helping me understand how the Fed works. That made perfect sense! I always had a hard time wrapping my brain around economics, but you made it crystal-clear.

I can't wait for your posts!!!

Thank my anonymous friend for trusting me with this. I told him about the blog I share with KOOK. He went there, saw what we are doing and thought we are the right people to put this out. He also thought our readers are the right people too. This is just the first few pages, basically the intro.

Can't wait to read more!

I can't wait to post it. Not long ago I would have dumped everything on the blog today. Would have been overkill. Now I am more patient, but I have still sat on this a week now. I read this thing constantly all week. I really put alot of thought into exactly how I would put it into words. Usually, I don't even think about it, I just write it. Still, it was really tempting to start last week but I think this will be better to make it a theme for me for the entire week. I'm not doing much climate stuff now, because it's hurricane season and that grabs my attention bigtime this time of year as it does most people around here.

Thanks for exposing these crooks. It's just shameful, and yet, the potholes in my street could house a small family of possums! I've called the city numerous times! I'm not a friend of barry, so no services for me, tax paying CROOK county life long resident.

Joel: Your posts are very intreguing, you are going about this the right way.

Maybe you could have it designated a wildlife refuge, Bunni! Then you'd get funding. :-D

Oh my gosh, earmarks to improve the environment and quality of life, what are those democrats thinking????

I notices that you didn't list any republican earmarks, probably because their focus is on ways to better destroy God's green planet, or impose their value system on other cultures. That might be embarrassing.

blackandgoldfan said...

Anonymous: If you would do a little further digging, you would find that I did a post on the Republican 8 and the earmarks they got in this legislation. I don't care WHAT party their from; ALL the earmarks are going to be posted.

As far as improving the environment and quality of life, how is renovating an opera house that has been empty since 1965 going to do that (Rosa DeLauro got that one)??? Also, a lot of these projects are going to require CO2-spewing machinery to do the work. Seems hypocritical to put that in a bill designed to reduce emissions and tax the American people out the wazoo.

And just how do the Republicans impose their values on other cultures?? Do you mean like the left-wing atheists who impose their values on the majority of Americans by screaming "separation of Church and state" when there is no such thing (read the Constitution)? Or do you mean the militant homosexual community imposing an ideal on the rest of America (gay marriage) that has repeatedly been voted down? Maybe you're talking about those who want to tax every single aspect of our lives (Congress). You know...the ones who can't make do with what they have and then turn around and force us to give them more money. Which one of these "Republican" agendas is it???

When you decide which one it is, come out from under your bridge and let me know, you troll!
