Paranoia? I Call It Survival

Wednesday night, we all went over to our local McDonald's for some food. I didn't have the gumption to really cook anything of substance, and state law requires us to feed the kids. It doesn't say WHAT we have to feed them (yet) but only that they have full bellies.

Sitting there eating, I happened to notice a couple of families who must have been traveling in the dining room. The women were wearing hijabs (the muslim headscarf), and my radar kicked on. I sat through the rest of my meal not paying attention to my family, but watching their moves.

I know that the libs will say that it's only a small percentage of muslims that commit heinous acts, but do I want to take that chance with my most precious children in tow? I'm sure that the same mentality was in effect on 9/10/2001.

For those who may think I'm being unnecessarily paranoid, remember who committed the following acts:

Pentagon--9/11

Mumbai, India

USS Cole

Lockerbie, Scotland--Pan Am 103

Khobar Towers, Saudi Arabia

Madrid Train Bombing--2004

I'll be paranoid and live, thank you.

Don't go through Dearborn Michigan. As far as situational awareness, you should be doing this anyway, all the time, muslims or not. The other thing is, what are you prepared to do? And pick what movie that came from...

Very interesting question, RG. I'm being asked to think this early in the morning. Jeez!!!

Sorry, can't think of the movie, pal.

Happy weekend!!!!

The Untouchables, Jim Malone, played by Sean Connery.

I would have been "paranoid" too, B & G
I would have packed everyone up and left, immedately.

Actually, I get fast food and bring it back home.
Out here, you can't stand to eat in their, with all the noisey brats and illegals running around, not to mention loud mouthed obummer loving welfare recipients screaming on their cell phones!

When in doubt, GET OUT!

What movie? Matrix, it's early, I'm stumped.

Never really got to see the whole movie, RG. But, for an older gentleman, Sean Connery is HOT! Must be the accent.

Words of wisdom, BOF. Will keep that in mind should it happen again. I was kinda pissed that I wasn't able to drip sausage grease in their food. I used to do that when I worked on the grill. :-D

Yeah, terrorists will surely target Pittsburgh... because it's vital that they strike at the heart of our production of drunken football fans.

First Pittsburgh, then LA, then DC... it's all so obvious.

I was in a subway, here in Australia, and I happened to notice a bunch of people with american accents, and my radar kicked in. I sat through the rest of my meal not paying attention to my family, but watching their moves.

No. I can't do it. I found plenty of pictures, but I can't bring myself to post any of them. They're just too horrible: a lot more intimate than distant shots of flame and smoke.

Sorry. This started as a light jab at your completely weird reaction to a strangers culture, but got way too serious the moment I saw those pictures.

Stereotypes are unfair. Period. Very few muslims blow themselves up, very few anti-abortion protestors shoot doctors in the back of the head. Very few conservatives support torture, very few liberals are communists. Very few christians actively deny the findings of science, very few atheists are a part of the great liberal-islamo-demonic-facist global banker conspiricy to take over the entire universe (well, okay, "very few" might be an exaggeration). Very few white people hate black people.

If you want to stereotype people based on the actions of a few nuts, go right ahead: but the family you saw in Mcdonalds were not the same people who commited the evils you pictured.

There's an old saying about judging a book by its cover. Headscarves do not equal vest-bombs.
