With all the craziness of the past week, I thought this song was very appropriate for where my life is now. Been a busy week running errands and getting ready to spread my wings and fly. Enjoy the weekend, folks!!!
In remembering the recent trip I took with Noah and the music department of his school to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I remembered the fuzzy guitars and car used by ZZ Top in their 'Eliminator' era. It was really cool to see these icons in person as they've become synonymous with the trio. Enjoy the weekend, folks!!!
For today's Friday Fluff, I'm putting up a song that I've adopted as my anthem. The words have given me courage and hope for the future. Enjoy and have a great weekend folks!!!!
In about 2 1/2 hours, I'm headed to the beach for some solitude and relaxation. Though I'm only staying the weekend, it's much needed time alone to reflect and take in all that the beach has to offer.
Not the BEST song they ever did, I always found myself enjoying this song. Seemed to have a calming effect on me for some reason. Happy Friday and Happy Weekend everyone!
On Wednesday's Hump Day Hootenanny, Bungalow Bill mentioned that he was in a Prince kind of mood. Being that he's the guy who was my inspiration to start blogging, I thought I'd send this one out to him. Happy weekend, everyone!
My daughter, Cheyenne, just discovered this song. I loved it as a kid, and I find myself smiling as an adult.
It's hard to explaing streaking to her, but it reminds me of when she was a toddler.
When she was about 2, she was wearing training pants. I left her watching "The Wiggles" in the living room and went to do some kitchen work. Shortly thereafter, she walked in wearing nothing but a big, toothy grin. From head to toe, she looked like she was covered in chocolate pudding, only I hadn't given her any. It's a story I can't wait to tell her first boyfriend!
One of the best movies to ever come out of the 80's was 'Less Than Zero', the story of two friends trying to desperately save the drugged-out third. The drug-addicted friend was played by Robert Downey, Jr. and was (IMO) the best performance of his career.
Anyone who loves the movie 'Less Than Zero' is going to remember this from the movie. Happy Friday, all!
Being a former 80's teenager, I can't help but love this song from The Fixx. Check out the size of the cell phone! lol And, yes, seeing Cy Curnin (the lead singer) still sends a tingle up my leg. Happy weekend all!!!
