Gloria Allred Targets the Tebows

As we approach Super Bowl Sunday, the feminists continue to launch an all-out assault against the scheduled ad featuring Gators quarterback Tim Tebow and his mother, Pam. This time, uber feminista lawyer Gloria Allred is leading the charge and promises to file a complaint with the FCC and FTC should she feel the ad is misleading.

The Huffington Post has run an article on Ms. Allred's allegations. Gloria has alleged that the story of Pam Tebow being told to abort her baby could be misleading due to a ban on abortion in the Philippines since 1930.

Allred, who has represented a myriad of famous people or launched them into the spotlight, says that she will file a complaint with the proper authorities should she find that the abortion ban was in place in 1987, the year Mrs. Tebow decided to put the fate of her and her baby in God's hands. Gloria says that if abortion was illegal in the Philippines in 1987, she has a hard time believing that a doctor would risk a six-year prison sentence for recommending one.

Pam Tebow and her husband, Bob, were missionaries in Manila in 1987 when Pam suffered a life-threatening infection. The drugs used to wake her from a coma and treat her dysentery caused placental abruption (a separation of the placenta from the uterine wall), and the doctors were expecting a stillbirth. They recommended she abort; Pam instead made the decision to carry to term. The rest is history.

Ms. Allred has screamed for so long about a woman's right to choose, that she is forgetting that Pam Tebow also made a choice: for God to do His will. Why is that choice never acknowledged by NOW? And if it is acknowledged, the spin they usually put on it is that a woman was put under so much pressure to carry her baby to term that she couldn't make what they feel is the only decision to be made.

Gloria Allred and her ilk are the gender movement equivalent to Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and the rest of the race card players. Where Jackson and Sharpton see people of color as perpetual victims, Allred and friends seem to think that women will never be anything more than the victim of some conspiracy by a patriarchal society. How wrong she is.

When women refuse to be victims and take control of their own destinies, then Gloria will no longer garner her power from those who feel they have none. She will become irrelevant.

Maybe Gloria could bake some cookies for the Super Bowl. Nut cups come to mind...

Mike Adams: The Guy's Got Snark!!!

Dr. Mike Adams, a criminology professor at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, wrote this brilliant piece yesterday for TownHall. I only wish this guy was my professor when I was in college. He totally rocks!!!

Felines, Nothing More Than Felines
by Dr. Mike Adams

Dear People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (http://www.peta.org/):

This Friday, I will turn 45 years old. I’m planning to celebrate my birthday by arranging a small demonstration in front of Randall Library on the campus of The University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I realize this is short notice but I need a favor. Since we’re old friends I figured you could do this for me as an early birthday gift.

I’m looking for three cats that have been discarded by their owners because they were either unable to afford them or because they were just generally inconvenienced by them. It is my preference that you provide me with two white cats and one black cat. If you cannot accommodate me I would ask that you also provide me with spray paint – the kind your members spray on women wearing mink coats. For example, if you can only provide three white cats I will want to spay paint one of them black. I’ll explain that later.

I intend to take the three cats over to Randall Library at about ten in the morning. The Women’s Resource Center is located in Randall. I will call their staff beforehand and ask them to meet me out front. I don’t want my demonstration to disturb anyone who might be studying.

I can supply all of the other materials needed for the demonstration: a Black & Decker drill, an industrial vacuum cleaner, two clipboards, two pencils, and some paper. I might also need a water hose and three plastic garbage bags.

By now you may have guessed that it is my intention to perform - on all three cats - a procedure similar to “partial birth abortion.” I will use my Black & Decker drill to make a hole in the head of each cat, which will be large enough to accommodate the hose of an industrial vacuum cleaner. I will then use the vacuum to remove the brain matter from all three cats. Just as in “partial birth abortion” no anesthesia will be used on the object of the procedure.

I understand that you may object to this demonstration as being illegal. But that objection does not have merit coming from you. You routinely destroy private property in order to make political points. Of course, these cats are no longer anyone’s private property. They have been discarded because they are too inconvenient or because they would be too much of a financial burden on their previous owners.

Nor will the Women’s Resource Center be able to object on the basis of the illegality of my conduct. In March, they displayed pictures of nude children in Randall Library. People raised legal objections to the public display of pictures showing the breasts and pubic hair of these children. The feminist rebuttal was a simple First Amendment claim. Now, I’m claiming a right under the constitution to terminate life by removing brain matter.

Finally, there will be objections that the blood of these cats will create some sort of health hazard. I’ve got that one covered, too. I debated a Ph.D student from UCLA on Fox News once in relation to a similar issue. His Professor of Theater was HIV positive and cut himself on stage so that his infected blood spilled out in front of the audience. He also relied on the First Amendment to defend his dramatic (literally) demonstration. We don’t have to worry about HIV positive cats. Once again, I am claiming a constitutional right to terminate life by removing brain matter.

After this little demonstration is over I will use the two clipboards, two pencils, and paper to create two sign up sheets. One will be used to sign students up for the student PETA chapter at UNC-Wilmington. The other will be used to sign students up for the student pro-life chapter at UNC-Wilmington. It will be very interesting to see which organization gains the most members in response to the demonstration.

The Black Student Union might even want to recruit students at this event. After all, the one black cat is a symbol of the fact that 1/3 of those aborted in America are black. This is despite the fact that blacks are only 1/8 of the total population.

Finally, I will use the water hose and three plastic garbage bags to clean up any mess I might have made. I hope there will be no lasting trauma following my demonstration. After all, they are only cats. It’s isn’t like they’re human beings.

Sheriff Joe Being Sued Over Abortion

Judicial Watch is reporting that Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Arizona, is facing a lawsuit filed by a prisoner seeking an abortion.

In the lawsuit, it has been alleged that by charging inmates a transportation fee Sheriff Joe is restricting a prisoner's "right" to kill her baby. The Eighth Amendment, which protects prisoners from cruel and unusual punishment, has been invoked in the 22-page filing. What about the baby's right to protection under the same amendment? Doesn't that count for anything?

Maricopa County charges inmates a fee between $300 and $600 for transportation and mandatory deputy escorts when going for elective medical procedures such as abortion. Arpaio says that to not charge a fee would force the taxpayers to unfairly absorb the costs. And he's dead on. It's bad enough that the procedure itself is paid for by the taxpayers. Why should the inmate get a completely free ride and not have to shoulder some of the costs incurred?

While the only mention of the group filing the lawsuit on behalf of the prisoner is only described as a "notoriously liberal civil rights group," we can safely narrow it down to one of two groups: The ACLU or The Southern Poverty Law Center. Both are groups of America-hating progressives who wish to make social policy legislation. They say that by "unfairly" delaying abortions to inmates, Sheriff Joe risks the life of the mother as the risks associated with abortion increase with each passing week. What a load of dung!

Here's where the left is talking out both sides of their collective big mouths. On one hand, they're saying that delay increases the risk of complications in what is otherwise a safe procedure while advocating for partial-birth abortion on the other hand. If delaying abortion is so risky to the mother, then one would think that they're against the barbaric act of partial-birth abortion, which is most often performed in the last trimester of pregnancy. But they LOVE defending butchers who kill babies by delivering them breech, leaving the head in the birth canal, and vacuuming out the brain after inserting a pair of surgical scissors into the base of the skull.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio is using common sense in his administration of justice. For far too long, the "rights" of prisoners have been trumped over that of their victims and their families. It's about time we have a law enforcement official in this country who realizes that prison is not supposed to be a frickin' vacation. If you commit a crime, you should not be living better in prison than you may be living in the free world.

Sheriff Joe, keep up the great work. You're one hell of a patriot, and we love you.

Guest Post from Bungalow Bill

This gem is from Bungalow Bill, the man responsible for unleashing my babble on the blogophere. His blog was the inspiration for me to start blogging, so he gets the blame for those of you who may not like what I have to say. He's great!

From Voting Against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act to End of Life Counseling: Obama's Disregard for Human Life

Barack Obama is going around the country saying it’s crazy that opponents of his healthcare plan says he wants to pull the plug on Grandma. But is it crazy?

As a former resident of Illinois, I watched Obama come upon the national scene. I watched how he bullied his opponents through the courts to basically run unopposed from the Illinois state Senate to the US Senate. It was in the Illinois state Senate that I watched Obama’s total disregard for human life before he had the chance to defend himself from pulling the plug accusations.

In Illinois, the very idea of protecting babies which survived abortions was debated on the floor of the state house. The Born Alive Infant Protection Act stopped the act of taking the life of a new born baby that survived an abortion by placing that baby in a portion of the hospital to die. It was Barack Obama who opposed the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. In fact he opposed it four times. He was the only state Senator to oppose the bill in Illinois.

This got virtually no national coverage during the election—but it did get a little. During the election, Obama asked about his voting record on the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. Obama lied about his vote. He later claimed he didn’t understand the bill on the floor. Obama’s campaign had to do the damage control by admitting that Obama did in fact vote against four times. For the rest of the campaign, Obama’s lie and his voting record was ignored.

Now he stands in front of Americans acting like he has a respect for life. I have to wonder if Obama voted against saving the life of a new born infant, does he really care about grandma and grandpa?

Obama has lied about votes in the past when it comes to voting on medial laws that protect life. He claimed he didn’t understand the bill he was voting on in Illinois. I look at the similarities of Obama’s current campaign to forever change healthcare in America and his votes in the Illinois Senate. We recently had the I don’t understand the bill moment when he admitted to a liberal blogger that he hadn’t read that portion of the bill. So basically, Obama is going around the country promising grandma will be okay while having this horrible track record towards respecting life and admitting he hasn’t read all the bill. Gee, considering Obama’s honesty, I’d be a little worried if I was grandma and grandpa right now. Especially when you mix Obama’s voting record with the long list of government failures like Social Security, which may be busted as early as 2011 now. Nationalized healthcare and the possibility of rationing is something I don’t even want to take a chance over to find out if Obama is being truthful.

Obamacare: Let the Earmarks Begin!

Get ready folks. Here we go again.

It seems that the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions has already approved a government-run healthcare program that creates 84 new programs and allows for rationing of care through the Comparative Effectiveness Board. These are the people who will decide whether or not your treatment or the treatment of your loved ones is cost-effective. So much for being a free country!

Inside the legislation is also an earmark that Senator Tom Coburn (R-Oklahoma) is criticizing as the largest in history.

"It has the biggest earmark in history, and it's a mandatory earmark that never ends," he points out. "It's $10 billion to Senator [Tom] Harkin's subcommittee, which will be used for bicycle trails and jungle gyms, and farmers markets, and lighting -- supposedly under the guise of prevention and wellness." Have you ever seen what happens to a playground erected in a Great Society community? The gangs can't wait to tag it, and from there it becomes a veritable marketplace for the drug dealers. It's almost as certain as the sun rising in the east.

Coburn say the partisan Senate healthcare bill contains no limitations on abortion or the taxpayer funding of abortion, and will leave an estimated 36 million Americans uninsured. I guess partial-birth abortion will fall into that category. As a pro-innocent-life supporter, this makes my stomach turn. And at what point will the government say: "You have too many kids. You MUST have an abortion." They must have been studying the Chinese way of life.

Taxpayer-funded abortions are a slap in the face to every American. Instead of putting the responsibility of an unplanned pregnancy on those who, for various reasons, find themselves in that situation, the burden is once again set to fall onto the already overburdened shoulders of those who are against it. Whether you support abortion or not, since when did it become our responsibility to pay for it? I forgot...we wouldn't want Sasha and Malia to have to live with a "mistake".

Let your voices (and those who can't speak for themselves) be heard! And if Congress turns a deaf ear, THEY NEED TO BE FIRED!!!

Operation Rescue Wants Clinic

Operation Rescue president Troy Newman has said that the group would be interested in buying the now permanently-defunct clinic of Dr. George Mengele Tiller. The group's intention would be to use the space as a larger office, but an attorney for the Tiller family wouldn't discuss the issue.

"I'm just not going to respond to every irreverent publicity stunt or comment by these extremists," said the attorney, Dan Monnat.

Since when is the desire to protect human life a publicity stunt? Those of us who believe in the sanctity of life are not out there trying to get the message across for publicity. We do it to give a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves.

While the procedure of abortion is barbaric enough, George Tiller performed an act that can only be labeled as pure evil. I'm not going to go into the details of partial-birth abortion because it makes my heart break for the idea that the disregard for the unborn is that extreme. If you want to know what the procedure is, look it up and try not to be nauseated.

The left in this country, especially the feminist movement, has elevated abortion to the level of a sacrament. Their push for "the right to choose" has devalued human life, and that is part of the reason the younger generations of today have no regard for life. They fail to realize that the cure for cancer, AIDS, and many other terrible afflictions may have been aborted.

The youth of today are told that being pregnant is an inconvenience and a "mistake" (as per Dear Leader) instead of being told that a baby is a gift from God. How we really need to let the youth of today know that God does things according to His plan. We may not understand His reason, but we have to trust in Him.
